The Walt Disney World Resort is located just outside of Orlando in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. There are actually four separate theme parks within the Disney World resort, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.

Disneyland Park is also the home of the world-renowned Disney theme parks in Anaheim, California. Many people who visit Disneyland are thrilled to find out that this is the only theme park that was designed and built under the supervision of Walt Disney himself.

It is also the first of the Disney theme parks, yes, even before Disney World in Florida. As of December 2018, the park received more than 700 million visitors since its opening. The only other them mark that has received as many visitors is Magic Kingdom, another Disney theme park.

Universal Orlando Resort is not to be confused with one of the many Disney theme parks in Florida. It is, however, another famous theme park and entertainment hub located in Orlando, Florida.

There are two theme parks within the resort, Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, a water park, and Universal City Walk Orlando.

Two more theme parks are in the works. There are also several hotels located on the resort suitable for every budget type. Six Flags Magic Mountain is located in Santa Clarita, California, and is a 262-acre theme park. It is just 35 miles from downtown Los Angeles, which means that it is easy to access from wherever you are in LA.

Universal Island Adventure is located at the Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. The park is intended to take guests through an adventure through the various themed islands. There are currently eight islands at the park, with Skull Island being its most recent addition, and it is themed after the King Kong movies.

Additional island themes include Harry Potter, Dr. Seuss, Marvel Comic, and Popeye. Visitors will enter through the Port of Entry, the park’s main entry area, which is also where many of the shops, dining options, and park services are located.

Entrance fees start at $123 for a one-day pass for adults and $117 for children.

While it is true, there are lots of theme parks in California and Florida, surprisingly there are also theme parks in other parts of the U.S., such as Virginia. Doswell, Virginia, just outside of Richmond, VA, is Kings Dominion.

It features more than 60 rides, has 12 roller coasters, and a 20-acre water park. While it may be significantly smaller than some of the more popular amusement parks, it’s definitely earned its place on our list of amusement parks in USA.

This is due to the park’s incredible roller coasters, such as Intimidator, the fastest, largest roller coaster on the East Coast reaching speeds of more than 90 mph.

Silverwood Theme Park

An unexpected location for a theme park by most people’s standards would be Idaho. However, this is where Silverwood Theme Park is situated. It is only a short distance from Spokane, WA, and over the years has become a popular regional theme park.

The official mascots of the park include Garfield and Odie. It is now the largest theme and water park in Northwest America, sitting on more than 400-acres of land with over 70 rides and attractions.
