Editorial Policy
How posts on Pretty Wild World are researched, written, updated and corrected.
Last updated: October 11, 2026
In short: every post on Pretty Wild World is written, edited and published by me, Evan Kristine. Affiliate links never decide what I recommend, and I fix mistakes as soon as they’re reported.
Who writes the content
Pretty Wild World is a one-person blog. I write, edit and publish every post myself. There are no paid guest posts or sponsored articles.
How posts are made
Every post starts with a real question readers ask, like how to make a dark room feel cozy or what to wear to a fall wedding. You get a quick answer first, then ideas you can actually use, with notes on budget and what to skip.
Ideas come from my own home and styling, from 15 years of detail-obsessed work as a chef, and from research into current trends, retailers and expert sources. I use digital tools, including AI tools, to help with research, outlines and images, but I review, edit and decide on everything before it’s published.
Images
Photos of me and my own home are real. Many styling images are AI-generated to show an idea or a mood, as explained in the AI image disclaimer. Product images come from retailers.
Product recommendations
I recommend products I would buy myself or that fit the look being described. Some links are affiliate links, but a commission never decides what’s included, and brands don’t see or approve posts before they go live. Read the affiliate disclosure.
Keeping posts up to date
Trends, prices and products change, so I regularly review and refresh older posts. The “Updated” date at the top of each post shows when it was last revised.
Corrections
If you spot an error, a broken link or an outdated price, email evan@prettywildworld.com. I check every report and correct confirmed mistakes as quickly as I can.
Independence
I also run a Pinterest agency, Oraya Studios, which is promoted on this site. It’s my own business and doesn’t influence which products or brands appear in posts.
