About the writer

Hi, I’m Evan. Welcome home.

I’m the founder and editor of Pretty Wild World. I grew up in the Philippines and now live in Finland, where long winters, soft summer light and small Nordic homes shape how I decorate.

Before blogging I spent fourteen years in professional kitchens, from fine dining to banquets. A room is a lot like a plate: one star, good balance, nothing fussy. That’s what you’ll find here, aesthetic rooms and seasonal styling you can actually pull off, without a renovation or a designer budget.
