Well, to start, we have to say a disclaimer saying that this is not a vegetarian-friendly restaurant at all – much like the whole of Hungary, should I say, however, if you’re a meat-eater then good for you as you’re in for a wonderful treat over at Balvárosi Disznótros!

As an introduction, Bálvarosi Disznótoros started as a butcher. After a while, they branched out a little bit and began serving Hungarian home-cooked meals to local workers around the area. As time passed by, they accumulated a reputation amongst the locals.

They eventually became a restaurant exclusively, only selling what they are well known for – Granny-style Hungarian home-cooked meals.
Bálvarosi Disznótros exceeds expectations and is a very popular lunch spot for locals and workers from around the area.

What you should try? They have a really good selection of traditional Hungarian cuisine. Just walk in and check out what you feel like trying! All the dishes served here are very tasty and delicious, you can’t go wrong.
