Stretching over an area of around 160 km2, Liechtenstein becomes the fourth smallest country in Europe and the sixth one in the world. Nevertheless, this micro country is not small at all when it comes to its tourism potential.

Located in the Upper Valley of the European Alps, there are many wondrous places to visit in Liechtenstein, mostly offering us with breathtaking natural sceneries and fresh mountain air.

Not only the view, being in the European Alps makes Liechtenstein a favorite among winter sports fans. It may have no beaches since it’s a doubly landlocked country bordered by Switzerland and Austria, but this country offers an excellent snow resort.

Liechtenstein is a member of Schengen zone, so if you are from a non-Schengen country, then you need to have a Schengen visa to enter Liechtenstein. It is important to notice that not all EU countries are parts of Schengen zone, nor all Schengen zone members are EU countries.
