If you are looking for fun things in Tbilisi, why don’t you head to Mtatsminda Park? Mtatsminda Park is the most massive amusement park in Georgia.
When the country was still part of the Soviet Union, Mtatsminda Park was the third most-visited park in the USSR. Situated 800 meters above the city, this amusement park occupies a vast area of 1,000 square meters.
Mtatsminda Park was established in the 1930s by the Soviet government. A large-scale transformation of the park took place in 2001, when Georgia billionaire, Badri Patarkatsishvili, decided to put the modern 21st-century touch to the park.
You will find a lot of enjoyable rides here. The most popular one would be the giant Ferris wheel. If you want to go sightseeing in Tbilisi, the 80-meter Ferris wheel will give you a great spot to see the panoramic view of Tbilisi from above. Cross The Kura River with Style
One landmark you must visit during your trip to Tbilisi is the Bridge of Peace. An Italian architect, Michele De Lucchi, made this 2010 bridge design. The Bridge of Peace stretches 150 meters above the Kura River. It connects the Old Town of Tbilisi and the city’s new district.
This bridge looks extra stunning at night when the LED lights are lit. The site is filled with impressive statues made by the sculptor Zurab Tsereteli who started this project in 1985, and this project is considered an unfinished one.

Hold up! Have you thought about the importance of travel insurance?

Visit The Most Iconic Woman in Georgia
One of the most iconic places to visit in Tbilisi is the Mother Georgia Statue. You should go here if you visit Tbilisi. The aluminum statue was made by the famous Georgian sculptor Elguja Amashukeli.
This colossal statue was placed on Sololaki Hill in 1958 to celebrate the city’s 1500th anniversary. Locally known as Kartlis Deda, the figure depicts a woman wearing a traditional Georgian dress, holding wine and swords in her hands.
To get to the Kartlis Deda, you can go on foot, or if you are looking for something more unique to do, you can hop on the cable car ride that will bring you to the site of the Mother Georgia statue.
You must go to the eastern part of Tbilisi to get on the cable car. During the ride, you will be mesmerized by the beautiful aerial view of Tbilisi. Riding the cable car is another great way to go sightseeing in Tbilisi.

Taste The Sweet Side of Tbilisi
For those who have a sweet tooth, you are strongly advised to taste Georgia’s traditional candy the next time you visit Tbilisi.
The people of Georgia have two kinds of homemade candies that suit your taste. Those candies are called Churchkhela and Taklpi. Taklpi is fruit roll candies made of many sorts of fruits.
They can be made from pears, apples, kiwis, and many more. Churchkhela is a traditional Georgian candy stick that looks like sausages. You will find walnuts in the center part of this type of candy.
When you visit Tbilisi and go around the city, you will find many shops selling candies, from small street shops to big upscale shops.

What are my favorite travel must-haves?
As a frequent traveler, I’ve learned a lot throughout my years of travel, and there are five items that I always carry with me regardless of where I go and how long the trip is. Here are my five travel must-haves!

- Kindle Paperwhite – I love a good read and always take my Kindle everywhere. It keeps me entertained during long flights and waiting times.
- Powerbank – I don’t know how I could travel without one! Having a power bank saved me a ton since I carry a lot of electronic devices with me.
- Travel Adapter – I never leave my luggage without a travel adapter! I carry one with me all the time. It is just one of that travel-must haves that doesn’t hurt to have in your bag at all times.

One of the most entertaining things to do in Tbilisi visits its neighboring areas. Tbilisi is not a big city, so it does not take a long trip to the surrounding towns. You can leave Tbilisi in the morning and get back in the evening.
